Trying new things in 2025

As 2025 begins, I knew I wanted to try something new and exciting in my photography business, and my very first at-home newborn session was exactly what I had envisioned. There’s something so special about capturing families in the comfort of their own homes, and I’m thrilled to share this beautiful experience with you.

I first met this amazing family during a holiday mini session, and I was immediately struck by their warmth, kindness, and love for each other. At the time, mom was pregnant with baby number 4, and the family consisted of three beautiful girls. I could already tell they had a special bond, and I was so excited to document the addition of their newest little sister.

The family decided on an at-home newborn session, a decision that allowed us to blend both posed and candid family shots in a relaxed and meaningful setting. For me, the candid moments during a session are truly where the magic happens. There’s something so real, raw, and timeless about capturing families as they are—no posing, no expectations, just pure emotion. I feel more and more that these moments need to be documented, and I can’t wait to continue focusing on this in 2025.

This session was everything I dreamed it would be. The girls were beyond sweet, welcoming their newest little sister with so much love and excitement. Their joy was contagious, and it was such an honor to witness their bond. From those precious, quiet moments with baby number 4 to the sweet chaos of a busy household, this family was truly a joy to work with.
