Fiesta, Fiesta!
There’s something incredibly special about watching my tiniest clients grow up. I photographed sweet Maya as a newborn, so it was truly surreal to have her back in the studio for her first birthday—and not just any birthday, but her First Fiesta!
With Cinco de Mayo just around the corner, the theme was bright, bold, and full of joy. The studio came to life with festive colors, fun papel picado banners, little cactus accents, and a whole lot of personality. Maya showed up full of smiles and curiosity, and once the cake was placed in front of her, she dove right in like she was born for it!
We ended the session with a splash bath—one of my favorite ways to wrap up a cake smash. Maya giggled her way through bubbles and warm water, splashing around like the little party queen she is. It was the perfect ending to a perfectly sweet session.
But the magic didn’t stop there...
That very morning, I had posted a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of the Fiesta setup on social media. To my surprise, a new client reached out almost immediately. As luck would have it, she and her family were going to be near the studio that same day—and yes, we made it happen! Her little guy was also preparing to celebrate his very own First Fiesta, so we squeezed in a last-minute session. And let me tell you—it was just as joyful, colorful, and full of laughter as Maya’s.
These are the moments I truly live for—celebrating milestones, capturing joy, and watching families grow. And sometimes, when the timing is just right, the universe throws a little serendipity our way. 💫
